The year 2017 has seen a lot of changes socially, politically all around the world. Instead of writing about what has gone well, what could be better and what I will need to do in 2018, I will share songs which made my 2017 exciting, inspiring and memorable. Like everyone else, I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. I can say that 2017 was the year I became more of a maker.
Solange’s music certainly featured highly on my playlist.

Haim are a band I have been following since their debut album. The release of their album this year was an absolute treat.

In retrospect, films, plays, shows, books, also introduced me to incredible music, here are a few:
Jazz made it to my playlist on a fairly regular basis.

Basquiat’s work made quite an impression on me. The genius that he was is finally openly acknowledged. His show in the UK is a testament of that.

Tokio Myers was a beautiful discovery. He’s an incredible musician.
